The jobhunt takes time. What to do in that time is something to give thought. Block out a certain number of hours a day if possible. Or set aside specific time on your days off. In that time set aside, identify a general percentage to do certain tasks:
1. Some time should be set aside for live networking groups.
2. Time can be set aside to incorporate all the great ideas you have got over time for your marketing materials: resumes, cover letters, online footprint.
3. Be sure to set up and go on informational interviews. Try to meet folks live in their office spaces, or on the set.
4. Finally be sure to spend time reading up on the news at your target organizations, whether in the dailies, the journals or the blogs.
Again, pace yourself. Be sure there is a sustainable model for you financially and psychologically as you go through the process of managing your career.
